How does Hypnosis work?

Hypnotherapy works by altering our state of consciousness.... When we are deeply relaxed our outer minds switch-off and our inner-mind becomes much more open to suggestion. The left-hand side of the brain is turned off when in hypnosis, while the non-analytical right-hand side is made more alert.

Since the subconscious mind is a deeper-seated, more instinctive force than the conscious mind, it influences more than 90% of our thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours.

Through hypnosis, it's possible to open the subconscious mind and I’m able to suggest ideas, concepts and lifestyle adaptations which aim to re-programme negative thought patterns and self-destructive behaviour .i.e binge eating and drinking, downward spiral thinking and negative self-talk.

Accessing the Subconscious Mind

To access the subconscious mind I guide you into a place of deep relaxation using my voice and with soft background music. The subconscious mind learns through repetition and loves metaphors. The more it hears a suggestion, the deeper ingrained it becomes in the psyche.
